The LANDSCAPE study is currently advertising for a suitably qualified Postdoctoral Fellow. Closing date 20th July 2022.

Childhood obesity is a major public health problem. Child and adolescent obesity can lead to serious health consequences during childhood and into adulthood. In line with the UN convention on the Rights of the Child, children should have access to treatment for health conditions and providing treatment for obesity and related co-morbidities is a key focus of Irish health policy since 2005. In line with current Irish healthcare policy, this project aims to understand more about what the capacity is within the Irish health service to provide treatment for child and adolescent obesity. The project will involve a mixed-methods approach to explore the perspectives of service users, health professionals and healthcare managers. The researcher will collaborate with stakeholders around the country to better understand what current access to quality treatment is and whether or how treatment can be improved.
